Researchers aren't sure, Tuyen, but they think it has to do with the amount of time your body is dealing with circulating estrogen - your female sex hormone. Older women, obviously, have been alive longer than younger women, and have had that much more exposure to estrogen; which increases their risk for breast cancer. Hope this helps - PJH
