Hi Denise - I'd suggest you see a doctor ASAP. Sounds like an abscess or an infection of some kind, and it's obviously getting worse. So get it looked at and treated soon, OK? Hope you feel better soon - PJH
Could you find a walk-in clinic that's open earlier and later hours, so you wouldn't have to go during work? I can't diagnose you; I'm not a doctor. But if this is getting noticeably worse, you should see someone sooner rather than later. You could always go to the hospital ER if you think it's an infection ratcheting up... How about calling the doctor at least, describing your symptoms, and seeing if they have an early or later in the day appointment? Good luck - PJH
Thank you,
went to the doctor yesterday after showing the lady in personal at work. The doctor put me on Keflex for infection of the breast and its common. He said they usually drain it but try with anti-botics. I am feeling ill all over and had so far 1500 mg of the keflex. He said when it goes away then a mannagram. I am no far from doctor and on replacement hormone treatment and just not so sure.
Thank you for the response
Hi, I wrote the other day in regards to the grapesize lump on right breast. I started keflex on monday and its wednesday and getting worst. Flaming red and dis color around lump that looks like a cyst. I left a message for my doctor. I just started a job last week and we all know how hard to find a job especially in a small town. Its more raw and tender as before. Does anyone have any answers and why the Keflex has not started to kick in, I am feeling drained, physically tired and now my whole body aches. Thankyou, Denise
Denise, you're dong the right thing - contacting the doctor about this. He/she is the only one who can help you, at this point; we're not medically trained here, we're simply breast cancer survivors. Hope you hear back from your doctor soon - and if you don't, you may need to access the hospital emergency room. Good luck - PJH
