I have a lump in my left breast. The mammo and ultrasound came back NSF. My doc wants me to watch for one month then see a surgeon. Why can it be felt but not seen on the mammo and ultrasound?

It could be hidden by the density of your breasts, or some other factor. I wonder if you should ask for an MRI, for a more definitive diagnosis? I'm not really in favor of the "wait and see" approach when you feel a lump in your breast, and it can't be diagnosed by the usual methods... Good luck - PJH
