Nyree, please read our post on mammograms for underserved women. I thik that'll provide you with the information you need. Good luck - PJH
Nyree, there are signs in the center where I get my mammograms that explain that no one is ever turned away because of inability to pay. In addition to the the resources that PJ mentioned, you might just call or go by a mammogram center near you and ask what their policies are for uninsured women. Keep in mind that most states have programs to help uninsured people pay for treatment if it turns out they do have cancer or other serious illnesses, so no one should ever skip screening exams because they are afraid they wouldn't be able to pay for treatment.

Also, the chief governmental program that pays for treatment for underserved women REQUIRES the cancer to be diagnosed via that same governmental program, the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. So do try to access a mammogram via that program, OK? Good luck - PJH
