We learned that cancer prevention for men can be as easy as popping a multivitamin each day.
Researchers randomly assigned 14,641 men, aged 50 and over, to take either the multivitamin Centrum Silver or a placebo pill once a day for eleven years. And they found that the men who had taken the multivitamin had an 8 percent reduced risk of cancer compared to the men who were assigned the placebo.
The study’s authors were quick to note that these findings do not in any way suggest that multivitamins are an antidote to cancer, just that it may be a way of reducing risk.
