His wife, Marsha, was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in 2001. After surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, she is in good health. An editor at U.S. News & World Report, Marc has been a guest on the Today Show, CNN and Morning Edition, and has contributed freelance stories to the New York Times, Washington Post and Health magazine. He lives in Chevy Chase, Md., with Marsha and their two teenage daughters, and is a great believer in the breast cancer husband's motto: "Shut up and listen."
