Herceptin heart danger does not increase over time

Breast cancer patients taking Herceptin do not have an increased risk of developing congestive heart failure over time, new research suggests. Scientists say that Herceptin does increase heart failure risk over a three-year period, but that risk appears to stabilize. Doctors say understanding a patient's heart risk factors may help them make a decision about whether Herceptin is the best treatment. Read more »
