Children who suffer from Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis are often vitamin-D deficient, a study says. Researchers evaluated 130 patients between 8 years and 22 years old and found that 35 percent of them did not have adequate levels of vitamin D. The researchers are uncertain of the connection between the diseases and the vitamin deficiency and say more studies are needed.
