Women who take Taxol every week after chemotherapy ends live longer than women given the traditional four doses every three weeks, a new study suggests. In the study of 5,000 patients, researchers also found that those who were given the dose weekly lived longer without a cancer recurrence than the other group. The study's authors suggest that the weekly Taxol doses should be considered a new standard in care.
