A combination of the breast cancer drugs Herceptin and Tykerb may slow the progression of the disease, a recent study suggests. In a study of 300 women, those who received the drug combo went 12 weeks without their condition worsening, compared to eight weeks in the women who took Tykerb alone. But researchers say the combination of drugs also increased the risk of side effects, including a small decrease in the heart's pumping power.
