Senator Kennedy's Diagnosis of Brain Cancer

Doctors recently announced that US Senator Edward Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.  News reports followed, explaining that malignant brain tumors such as this generally have a poor prognosis. How would you react to a diagnosis like this?
