Celebrating National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

By Jacki Donaldson October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For more than 20 years, this month has been designated the focal point of all things breast cancer related. With an emphasis on screening, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment, Breast Cancer Awareness Month serves as a compass to steer all women, and those who love them, in the direction of breast health. In honor of this special month and in the spirit of good health, I offer you one bit of information for each of October’s 31 days. You will find tips, recommendations, events, ideas, and inspiration – all intended to raise your own awareness about a disease that two million women in the United States are living with at this very moment.
