Breast cancer gene mutations don't raise risk equally

A new study suggests that not all women who carry the BRCA gene
mutations are at equal risk of developing breast cancer.
Researchers studied 181 women who had a BRCA1 or BRCA2 genetic
mutation and found that other factors, such as age when the cancer
appeared, were more significant than simply carrying the mutation.
Experts say this means there are other genetic and environmental
factors that play a part in whether or not a person develops the
disease.
