Three cups of tea per day may cut breast cancer risk

Drinking three cups of tea per day may cut the risk of breast cancer in some women, a new study suggests. Researchers studied 5,000 women and found that those under the age of 50 who drank at least three cups of tea per day lowered their risk of breast cancer by 37 percent, and the risk of lobular breast cancer by 66 percent. Women over the age of 50 did not see a benefit from tea consumption. Experts say the anti-cancer properties of tea may be particularly powerful against the types of tumors that develop in young women.  Read full story >
