Researchers ID new breast cancer gene

Canadian researchers say they’ve identified a protein that may aid in the progression of breast cancer. The protein—called ARF1—plays a role in cancer cell growth and the progression of tumors, researchers at the University of Montreal and the University of Alberta say. Experts hope that this protein will be the target of drug therapy that may help stop the progression of cancer.
