Breast cancer risk falls two years after quitting HRT

Researchers say a new study highlights the link between hormone replacement therapy and breast cancer. The study, which stems from a 2002 finding in the Women’s Health Initiative, found that women who stay on HRT for five years double their risk of developing cancer for each year they are on the treatment. But the study showed that the increased risk falls to near-normal levels by two years after treatment stops.  Read full story >
