Walnuts may prevent breast cancer

Eating walnuts may help lower your risk of developing breast cancer. In a recent animal study, researchers found that mice who were fed the equivalent of 2 ounces per day of walnuts developed fewer and smaller tumors. Scientists say the Omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and phytosterols may all contribute to any protective effect the nuts have.  Read full story >
