Nexavar impresses in clinical trials

Researchers say the experimental breast cancer drug Nexavar has shown positive effects in new clinical trials. Patients who received Nexavar along with the chemo drug Xeloda had a 74 percent improvement in the amount of time they lived without a disease progression, researchers found. The drug is used around the world to treat liver and kidney cancer, and experts say there will be further clinical trials on its use as a breast cancer medication.
