First lady, former patients highlight breast cancer awareness

Some former breast cancer patients, along with First lady Michelle Obama, put the spotlight on Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the struggle for healthcare reform. At a White House event, former patients discussed how having cancer meant they were denied medical coverage, or were told their premiums would double. And the First lady pointed out that many women currently have breast cancer and don't know it, since they rarely if ever see a doctor and do not have access to screening and treatment.  Read full story >
