Educated, and those who live alone hit hardest by breast cancer

Australian researchers say that women who live alone, and those who are well-educated are likely hit hardest by the emotional toll of breast cancer. Their study found that these women--along with older women in general--were likely to suffer with health problems, decreased vitality, and depression two years after diagnosis when compared to others. The study's authors say the results are helpful because it could help doctors and other professionals pinpoint which patients may need more emotional and physical support during their breast cancer journey.  Read full story >
