Teresa Heinz Fighting Breast Cancer

Teresa Heinz, the wife of Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, is fighting breast cancer. The 71-year-old's tumor was discovered through mammography, and Heinz says that in her opinion young women should still get regular breast cancer screening, because the price of mammography is less expensive in the long run than chemotherapy. Heinz underwent lumpectomies, but says she is not sure what follow-up measures she will take, given her age and the risk of side effects.  Read full story >
