Cancer Survivors Urged to Exercise

Experts are urging cancer patients to exercise more in order to reduce fatigue and stave off physical changes that can last years. Breast cancer patients who need chemotherapy, for example, can see a change in muscle-to-fat that is roughly equivalent to 10 years of normal aging. Cancer and exercise experts say survivors should aim for two to three hours of exercise per week, while those undergoing treatment should be as active as they are able.
