African Ancestry Linked to Deadliest Type of Breast Cancer

Women with African heritage are more prone to the deadlier "triple negative" type of breast cancer, researchers say. Scientists at the University of Michigan found that among breast cancer patients, 82 percent of African women had the variety, compared with 26 percent of African American women, and 16 percent of white women. Experts say that while many newer medications target each factor individually, it's still very difficult to treat triple negative cancers.
