Having More Kids May Increase Risk of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

A new study has found that the more times a woman gives birth, the greater her risk of developing triple-negative breast cancer. The study found that women who gave birth three times or more were 1.5 times more likely to develop the rarest form of breast cancer, while those who never gave birth are 40 percent less likely to develop triple-negative cancer. Researchers say the findings were a surprise because other studies have found that giving birth may help protect against breast cancer in general.
