    Yes, its mainly a moral issue. But if at least 27 people can access your records, there is a security issue too, if I am not wrong.

    Outstanding blog post!!   I couldn't agree with you more.  There is no excuse whatsoever for peering into someone's medical records.  As a internist working in hospital systems for over 13 years, I can tell you first hand- this was/is totally inappropriate.  Your blog post appropriately captures all the issues and provides outstanding context/perspective.  Thank you for an excellent post!
