Speaking from the viewpoint as someone with a disabillity and not necessarily a caregiver (at this point in time), I wanted to mention that I have really enjoyed this "Quiggles" series over the past several months.

Perhaps when this series concludes the author will release it in a complete booklet form, as the ideas put forth encompass a fine manifesto for the rights and advocacy for persons with disabilities worldwide. Very interesting stuff!

The subject of stigma and covering to avoid having a stigma become the focus of interaction is very interesting.  As someone who has worked in healthcare and caregiving all of my life I am so glad to see someone making a difference in the world as you are doing with your work.

So many of us do know what it is like when people relate to us mostly according to some difference or feature they observe which becomes a focal point in interaction.  There is always so much more to a person than one's "quiggles" or differences which may be stigmatized.

Your article on Covering was about something we often observe or do ourselves.  Having an awareness of "covering" is helping me to understand the behavior of some of my acquaintances, as well as my own behavior.  Thanks for the great series on "Quiggles."
