My wife had a hemmorraghic stroke on 10/13/08. She was in the hospital for 2 months and was released from rehab on 1/14/09. I am now trying to work from home, care for her (PT, vital monitring, medication dispensing). I also am in charge of our two teenagers BIanca 17, and Chase 14. They try to help as much as they can, but have school, and actual lives outside the home. It seems that my life and my wifes life have been placed on hold for the time being. She is paralyzed on the right side, and needs assistance with dressing, bathroom, bathing. She is able to move her right leg slightly when we perform her pt exercises, but cannot stand without assistance. We use a gait belt for transfers, and she is able to dress herself with little assistance.  She is on about a billion medicines for BP, diabetes(which she git after the stroke while in the hospital), depression, acid reflux, and constipation. She is supposed to wear diapers as she sometimes has "accidents", but she refuses to wear them and freaks out if I insist.  I apparently am too ealthy to qualify for medicaid. She is a legal resident of the USA, has a greencard, and has been married to me for 18 years(she is from the phillipines), but since she is not an actual citizen and did not work for 10 years as a taxpayer, she is not eligible for either SSI, or disability.  We cannot get in to see the doctors at the local free clinic until May 3rd, so have been going to a local clinic where we see a "practitioner" who yells at me because of all the medications I am giving her that the hospital doctors prescribed.  My wife does not want to go out in public, I have tried to get her to go to Church, but she refuses.  I'm screaming inside but have to put on a front that everythings fine for the kids and for my wife.  My sales production as fallen and I'm worried about my job.  Can anyone help, is anyone listening cause I'm at the end of my rope and I desperately want their to be hope for ,my families future.
