Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 03:27 PMThanks so much for your reply. hough my article was written tongue in cheek I think that you have made the point for me really well. This is a new age of aging and care centers had better be prepared for aging Boomers who are already net savvy and ready to not retire. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
The Daily Inspirational on www.parentcaresolution.com is a good thing for each day.
Hope you enjoy it..

Your article was very interesting, and brought up some important points. The internet has changed life, and as the boomers age many will want to have computer activities instead of traditional crafts. At a senior center where I volunteer we are adding computers, computer classes, basic website tutoring, digital photography and other high tech activities. Even seniors in their 70's on up are often using web surfing and email, or asking for tutoring to learn how.
Traditional arts and crafts, such as woodworking, painting, and fiber arts like knitting or crocheting are still making up the largest part of the activities, but times are changing. With the boomers, senior activities will have a large focus on high tech.
