I am endeavouring to get my mother to face a wheelchair right now but nothing will budge her........we could have such new horizons if she would succumb......it is so difficult as it must have been so difficult for you with your husband as much younger people....

Suzanne:
I loved your poem. Life is indeed a matter of attitude. We work so hard as caregivers to help our chronically ill and/or disabled loved ones, and it's all too easy to get stuck in a rut, doing things the same way, just because! We can only change ourselves -- our attitude -- not the situation (in many cases) and not our loved one.
