When I married, I promised to take my wife (she has Alzheimers disease) in sickness and in health. That's what I am doing, and I love it. I completely agree. There is also more awareness that caregiving isn't just an eldercare issue. Caregivers can be "well-spouses" or lifelong caregivers of children with special needs.
