    In NJ Sen. Vitale has proposed a bill for mandatory healthcare coverage for children and adults.  Also, on Mon. NJ was the 3rd state to pass family leave insurance.  We'd like to see this happen in every state.

    I think the biggest issue is that until you experience being a caregiver, truly living with or making decisions for a parent or adult child with needs, you do not realize how important it is to have more requirements in place.  Doctors should be required to tell an elderly patient as they begin the down hill slide about what they should have in place instead of waiting to tell the caregiver when the patient is past the stage of accepting age.

    Many of our legislature are in their 30's or if they are old enough to have aging parents probably have enough money to never have to worry.
