Yes Steve, the pH of water does matter, but you have it backwards.  Most water is acidic (think acid rain due to the current condition of the planet) and should be alkaline!!  The root cause of dis-ease in the body is tissue acid waste products being dumped into storage tanks, such as your muscles and joints.  That is why you will see peolpe start to miraculously heal themselves from very dibilitating, painful diseases such as fibromyalgeia and arthritis.  The benefits of drinking alkalized water are very apparent to those who have switched  from tap and bottled water to ionized/alkalized water.  And it is so awesome to know I am healing myself with nothing more than drinking pure, natural occuring water.  How it used to be before we polluted the planet these last 100 years!  I have a water filter that ionizes and alkalizes my tap water!  Best investment I've ever made.
