My 96 yr. Dad is remarkable for his age. Recently he makes deep sounds similar to a growl.
The sounds are not diected toward anyone or anything. He usually does it while watching TV in the afternon and evening. He is not in pain and claims he doesn't know he is doing this. He is ambulatory with a walker, can dress and feed himself and carries on a decent conversation. His short term memory is very poor.
Is this growling a precursor to Sundowning? Can you shed any light on this for me?.
