im a bit confused by the credit thing for SSI i have exactly the same desease you have plus a couple more i filed for  and recieved SSI now on the credits thing your speaking of that has to do with social security disabilty not SSI the SSI  is for people who do not have the required credits but are in need of financial support . granted right now its at 674.00 tops per month where i live but it is some help as for insurance i signed up for whats called medicaid in my state for disabled people bothe are goverment programs so im quite sure you also have this available to youit is all quite a process and will take some time i recieved my medicaid long before i was approved for SSI it was 3 years before i was finially approved  and by that time i was in a wheelchair so i think at this point they had no other choice but to approve me
