According to the Medicare coverage website http://www.medicare.gov/coverage/Home.asp and the publication "Your Medicare Benefits", in-home nurses are available for "intermittent (and not full time)" care if you are homebound, and the doctor makes plans for in-home health care. The providing home health agency must be approved by the Medicare program. This coverage may vary by state, and may also include a home injection for women with osteoporosis. Medicare supplements and private retiree health insurance packages could offer home health services, and you'll need to ask each insurer about your coverage. Check the Medicare website for coverage in your state under the topic of "Home Health Care" or your copy of "Your Medicare Benefits" for further details.
