People are resourceful and have found many ways to combat prescription costs. These include the controversial importation of medicines from other nations, such as Canada, changing prescribed medications to less expensive drugs, and signing up for programs offered by drug manufacturers for those that cannot afford medication. Additional resources and programs can be found locally by contacting your local social services agency to see whether additional programs may be helpful for your specific situation.
