mom vs. grandmother

i live in north carolina and my husband has been in iraq for 7 months and we have 7 1/2 month baby boy. well to keep it short my mother in law dont get along about 3 monthes ago we got in to it and she told me what i was going to do with our son (i did not like this) so she has not been over since by her chose. well she has been going to my husband causing problems between us she tells him what to do and then me and him fight. well to day he told me that i need to save this or he will step in (he said he would go to JAG and take paper work outsaying that she could see our son so many hours a week is this true. do i have any rights?????? what can i do as the mother
