Staying home to care for my mother.

Is there a way for me to get paid to stay home and take care of my mother?  She has been diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer that has spread to her liver and adrenal glands.  I also take care of my brother who is disabled and my 12 year old son. We live in Texas.  She does not qualify for Medicare until July 1, 2009 and we cannot wait that long as she will not make it that long without treatment.  She gets too much from social security to qualify for medicaid or state programs.  She does not qulaify for social security on her own.  She gets it because of being married to my father for so long.  They got divorced and he passed in 2003.  She requires 24 hour care as she cannot even use the bathroom by herself.  I have been off work for a month now caring for her.  She has begun treatment but we have to pay out of pocket so money is extremely tight.  I cannot afford to hire someone to come in and take care of her while I work.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
