CBD (corticobasal degeneration - sometimes called corticobasal syndrome) is a type of dementia but a rather rare one. Therefore I am having trouble finding support groups for my parents.

Have you had any luck finding support groups?  My Mom was diagnosed with PSP but her symptoms are are like CBD.  I would like to be able to talk to someone who is going through this.

Hi Connie:

My husband was just diagnosed with CBD.  I am also looking for a caregivers website.  I so desparetly want to talk to other people to see what they are experiencing if any  medications are working, etc.  I am looking into Lithium studies.

How old is your husband?  They had my Mom start taking Q10 30mg a day - She had been on Sinnemet but it made her sleep all the time and she had a hard time carrying on a conversation.  One thing that has helped my Mom is water walking - her neurologist thought she should be in a wheel chair last August - so far she is just using a walker (wheelchair for longer distances)
