How much should a colonoscopy cost?
I am a 56 yr old white female. I have a very limited budget. My insurance deductible is $1500. I know I need to have a colonoscopy for check-up purposes. Is there somewhere I can go to get a free or reduced price proceedure? I live in Butler County, Missouri.
I am diabetic and have some kind of arthritis in my hands. I have had a test done and it's not reumatoid arthrisis. I don't qualify for Medicaid. Is there somewhere I can get medical treatment that won't put me in debt?
Hi. I am a 37-year-old white female who just had a colonoscopy 2 weeks ago. The total cost for the procedure was $3,120.00. My insurance deductible is $2,800.00. But my deductible never came into play, because the procedure was performed by a surgeon who was "In-Network" and accepted my insurance. Because he was affiliated with my insurance co., I was given a discount by the surgeon for $2,120.00, making the total out-of-pocket cost to me $700.00. My advice to you would be to check up on surgeons who are "In-Network" with your insurance co. to give you the best cost possible.

It's Christine again--just wanted to make a correction to my poor math skills above--the total cost was $3,120.00 and I was given a discount of $2,420.00, not $2,120.00, making the total out-of-pocket cost to me $700.00
