Reporting to IRS

I am an unpaid caregiver for my mother. Can I report this to the IRS and receive some type of credit? I do make a minimum income of approx. $10,000/yr. because the majority of my type is caring for my mother. Please advise. Thanks.

Help I found for my Mom

My Mom lived with me for five wonderful years until she passed away in September of 2006.
