Meet Drs. Barry Jacobs and Julie Mayer
Barry J. Jacobs, Psy.D., the Director of Behavioral Sciences for the Crozer-Keystone Family Medicine Residency Program in Springfield, Penn., has provided psychotherapy to and written about family caregivers for nearly 20 years. His book, The Emotional Survival Guide for Caregivers: Looking After Yourself and Your Family While Helping an Aging Parent, was published by Guilford Press in 2006. He is a national spokesperson on caregiving for the American Heart Association. Julia Mayer, Psy.D. has a psychotherapy practice in Media, Penn. where she also treats many caregiving individuals and families.
