Lipitor or Mevacor?

Presently take Lipitor for Chlolestoral, understand taking Lipitor prevents one from eating Grapefruit, as it tends to increase and retain lipitor's strength? Would like to be able to have Grapefruit now and then, would Mevacor allow this and still be effective as Lipitor is?
