Last year, much to my surprise, my husband suffered a cardiac arrhythmia which nearly took his life. It was a blow to us since we had always been active and ate healthy. So what brought this about?

After an early retirement at 50, my husband began doing most of the cooking for our family. We still have teenage kids, so he started preparing meals that they would eat. Unfortunately, even after a few complaints from my end, he argued that they're so picky, they only eat the high fat, high cholesterol items he was preparing regularly (meat, potatoes, gravy, pizza, spaghetti,etc.). He is a wonderful cook, but even I knew this was heading for trouble for our own health. Neither one of us were overweight, but I could see fatigue start coming over John and a ruddiness to his complexion that I never noticed before. This was not a good red to his complexion. It was also the one winter, we did not walk everyday, because of the bad weather. We also let up on our indoor workouts because of my too hectic work schedule, so with only 4 months of this, it really took a hold on John's health.

Simultaneously we had two major family crisis (just 2 weeks previously we almost lost our oldest son to an injury that put him in the hospital in and out of coma) which affected our stress levels considerably. We were also preparing for our oldest daughter's wedding which was both exciting but taxing. I believe it was these factors weighing in on the unhealthy eating and lack of exercise that threw John over the curve. I believe that all of this combined to develop a serious situation for him, even though all of his health readings were fine. He had just had a complete physical and none of this showed the potential for a cardiac arrhythmia.

John received an angioplasty since one of his major arteries was blocked at 80% followed by an ablation procedure. His recuperation was quick and his health restored very soon even to the point where the doctor asked me what I was doing, since I would not let John into the kitchen.

I followed "The Rosedale Diet" and "The Fat Resistance Diet" and after 3 months of this diet and daily regular exercise, both my husband and I felt like we had restored our former youth. He looks great and I feel awesome with all of our stats being optimal. I am always practicing this diet plan and even if we occasionally eat out or have a red meat dinner, I spend the next 3 days eating solely what is allowed on this diet plan.

Well, greetings to all and to your health.
