I have been struggling with my weight for many years... now that I am getting older; the reality of high cholesterol affecting my lifestyle is becoming clearer. I have a wife and 4 children that need a father to be around. My father suffered a massive heart attack in 2002. Quadruple bypass hart surgery and a stint saved his life, in just enough time. He has been warning me to watch my intake of fats and encouraging me to exercise more. I have adopted a program on about.com/health, called calorie counter plus. It is a free program with great tools for monitoring caloric intake and exercise, to me this website is and invaluable tool and is thus far primarily responsible for the weight I have lost. I would suggest this site to anybody who wants an interface that is easy to use and, to all my research, very accurate. Right now I weigh 285 lbs; I am down from 300 lbs, due to the information and tools on this site.

It's so good that you've decided to be healthy for your family! My husband is also starting to watch his cholesterol intake for me and our daughter. I will check out that site you mentioned.
Great job on losing the weight! keep it up!
Best of luck!
