Where does Fleischmann's Olive Oil Added Margarine, which touts 25% less saturated fat and 25% less calories, fall in the equation?  Is it any better than the other light margarine. (It contains 60 calories per tablespoon.)

    Hi Liz,

Fleischman's Olive Oil Spread is a good choice.  It's "light" in that it has fewer than the standard 100 calories/tablespoon and more heart friendly with the monounsaturated fats olive oil adds.  The nutrition fact panel I viewed online indicated zero trans fat, so this is a good choice.  I think I may have to try it:)

    Hi KMB,

I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is another good choice.  The calories are ~100/tablespoon, no trans fatty acids, 7.5 g combines of poly and monounsaturated fats.

However, if you are trying to decide between Fleishman's and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, I would go with Fleishman'sFleishman's has 7 g of fat per tbsp with only 1 gram of saturated fat.  I Can't Believe It's Not Butter has 11 g of fat per tbsp and 3.5 g of saturated fat.

    All the best,
