Dear Mae - thanks so very much for your post. I am a moderator for this site and thought not medicaly trained I am able to help find answers to your questions or at least guide you in the right direction.
Unfortunately I cannot diagnosis high cholesterol for you. Only your doctor can do that and shouls contact him/her as soon as you are able.
I did search our site and found some information that could be helpful to you.
First you should read the Basics of Cholesterol. It discusses the good cholesterol which is HDL and bad cholesterol or VLDL. There is also a symptom checker which may be of help.
