My Family has had to deal with High cholesterol for generations. I know that both my Gandparents had high cholesterol, my Father had it and I have it. As far as I know my family has been treated with medication since available and I know my Father was on a ^ Cholesterol diet with medidation yet he still passed away at 64, 2 day before his 65th birthday with a massive heart attack. as both my Grandmothers passed.

This is why I am so concerned, having this ^ Bllod Pressure plus Chronic Pain with Fibromyalgia, RSD, and Pagets Disease.

Thanks so very much for your post pakas.  It does sound like you are battling multiple issues - it must be a bit overwhelming at times.

I suspect however that you are working with doctors who would be able to provide good advice regarding the cholesterol issues.  In the meantime, you may want to review the material at these links fo rmore information:

I'd consult with a Homeopathic doctor given your conditions. You may find that traditional approaches are not too effective on some of your disorders. Much of the mainstream medical community is lacking in understanding the real shorcomings of Statin meds, as you've seen with your father. Most of your conditions are caused by inflamatory processes within the body and are best handled by an integrated approach that promotes proper nutrition, and anti-inflamatory diet, and treatment of you as a whole person, rather than a bunch of organs that need meds to cover up symptoms

I already have, and I also have gone through Accupuncture treatments, I have been suffering from these disorders for many years and have seen many different Doctors concerning Treatment.

My husband was on staton drugs for high cholesterol & they caused pain & confusion.  Now doctors tell him his cholesterol count is good & they seem elated with his condition.  Staton drugs caused so much pain the doctors let him stop taking them.

We give credit to God's healing power and the fact that he has taken fish oil caps for the last 2 years.  I believe fish oil caps help a person feel really good & it makes the trigliceride count come down.

I am happy to hear that your husband is doing well, I have my cholestrol under control but only because my parents shared thier medical conditions and thier parents medical conditions with me, something not done in every household back in the 60's and the 70's

If you don't have a blender, buy one  - take your vegetables/fruit this way:  put broccoli, cauliflower, (spinach, kale or turnip greens) carrot, celery, garlic, apple, pineapple  all of the above & blend until ingredients are liquid.  If you cannot tolerate the taste to drink it,  put a box of jello in 1 cup boiling water, dissolve & add one cup of the blended ingredients.  That improves & covers the taste.  Take daily.  For fun, stick cloves of garlic into potting soil & put the flower pot in a sunny window.  Fun to watch the garlic or onions sprout, then you can clip the green blades to add to your food   Plant the broccoli stalks usually tossed, & do them the same.  Later, without disturbing the stalk, clip enough broccoli for daily use.  For joy in your life, read the Bible daily.  Get a dog or cat if you can afford one.  And don't forget to take fish oil caps every day.

Two things that may help. Fish gel caps are good, but can be difficult to digest - try Cod Liver oil - tastes bad but so, so good for you. You might also get iodine drops you put under your tongue - should be found at any health food store. Most of us have an iodine deficiency and that affects your thyroid, liver, etc.  I agree with one of the comments - find a good homeopath and look to some other treatments.

Surprised wowwza.. stamina is what you got!!!! i am researching now for my uncle w/pagets & prostate cancer....i have been studying raw food cures for many years & am trying to finish catagorized pages of free health info on my website (aprilsadvice.com) & would love to suggest you contact one of the (3-weeks: best) retreats i'll post at the end: do not forget to inquire about "scholarships" for being fiscally challenged, if desired; and a new thing for me, is this: the web site doesn't do the product justice so seek for videos of inventor's interviews (youtube? TED?)... and said video seen in my chiro/practioner's office (dr. parlee, orange, CA), said they would help folks for free, if needed! possibly, a digital photo of yourself can be emailed to them for analysis, & diagnosis: please write to them:

therapists: http://internapure.com/

and the book, "the cure for all diseases" is a must read for everyone with health issues, but i wish EVERYONE, PERIOD, WOULD OWN THIS BOOK! .. simple things in our daily, modern lives are extremely toxic, & it mentions what's what: the author's 3-week cleanse of herbs, & "zapping" has cured unbelieveable masses of folks, of everything: researching the zapper machine & herb list is taxing, so i'll include my favorite choices:

I live in Austin, TX and I've was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at the age of 48.  After being diagnosed, I've received great pain management advice, as well as guidance and treatment from the staff at Interventional Pain Associates (http://www.interventionalpainassociates.com/) here in Austin.  Where have you all gone for your treatments?  Have you had a good experience?
