How does thyroid replacement homones (thyroid cancer survior) and estrogen and prometrium (46year old post menopausal) relate to having high cholesterol. I was shocked when my number was 239. My doctor thinks my body is not absorbing the Levovyl because of low T3 levels. They are telling me that metabolic change is not being made at a cellular level and along with low estrogen can make cholesterol levels rise. It high cholesterol more common among menopausal females?
