I understand how sugars and starch that easily breaks down into sugar during digestion can increase the number of small, dense LDL. I assume this is not a concern with the soluble/insulable fiber content in whole grrain products. But what about that component of starch that is "resistant starch" (which functions like fiber) that passess into the large intestine and has positive health benefits?
Q - Would the whole grain products high in resistant starch be OK to consume in moderation to benefit from their nutrient content?
